Job Summary
Conduct pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished, ensuring thorough documentation of each dispatched flight. Complete electronic patient care records, daily base checks including narcotic counts, and pre-mission briefings while maintaining competency through ongoing clinical experiences. Assist with aircraft safety briefings, liftoff checklists, and pilot observation activities, complying with safety standards for self, crew, and equipment. Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as needed. Requires current EMT-P license, FP-C certification within 24 months, and BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications. Starting pay is $21.34 hourly plus a $4.16 hourly area stipend modification.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting
- Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Trauma certification
- Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) certification within 24 months from date of hire
- NREMT-P certification in assigned area
Desired Qualifications
- Prior flight experience
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS
