Job Summary
Flight Operations Mechanic Team Lead for Gulfstream aircraft maintenance. Plan, schedule and coordinate all mechanical system activities; provide daily information on aircraft testing status and schedule impacts; coordinate manpower for maintenance tasks, testing, discrepancy resolution, and flight tests. Supervise and instruct technicians in troubleshooting airframe and engine systems, inspections, and preventive maintenance; assess subordinates’ strengths and provide growth opportunities. Maintain current knowledge of Aircraft Service Changes and FAA Airworthiness Standards; perform post/pre-flight inspections and engine runs; ensure timely availability of required components; apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain safety and housekeeping; develop subordinates’ goals and support floor-level OGSM. Must demonstrate professionalism when working with internal customers and leadership. Advanced knowledge of inspection/heavy maintenance and familiarity with maintenance manuals, IPCs, service bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license
- 5 years aviation maintenance experience with advanced knowledge of inspection and heavy maintenance of mid/large-size aircraft
- Valid Driver’s License
