Flight Nurse OR Paramedic

Job Summary
Deliver care to critically ill or injured patients during transport, primarily by aircraft, as part of the RWHS Air Link team. Perform patient assessments and interventions per Air Link protocols in collaboration with other medical crew members, medical directors, and the monitoring physician. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing or paramedic program with NRP; RN/BSN preferred. Licensure in NE/WY/CO/KS/SD and certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP are required, with CFRN/CTRN or FP-C certifications preferred or required based on tenure. Three years of relevant clinical experience in critical care or emergency nursing or ground transport with flight experience preferred. Conditional offers subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing or paramedic program with NRP required
- RN BSN degree preferred
- Paramedics licensed in NE, WY, CO, KS and SD
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- FP-C preferred for Paramedics/Nurses
- Flight Paramedic CFRN or CTRN advanced certification required for nurses employed >2 years
- FP-C required for nurses employed >2 years
- Three years of demonstrated clinical experience as a critical care and/or emergency nurse OR three years as a ground critical care paramedic
- Flight experience preferred
