Job Summary
Conduct high-quality critical care assessment, triage, and treatment while transporting patients in a helicopter's confined space. Administer medicine and provide advanced life support alongside a Flight Paramedic, ensuring patient confidentiality and dignity. Maintain current RN licensure, EMT certification in Arkansas, and required certifications including CFRN, PALS, NRP, and ITLS within six months. Operate cardiac monitors, ventilators, and infusion pumps while lifting 50 pounds regularly and tolerating motion and vibration. Complete annual fitness tests and perform prehospital duties across various environments.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited school of nursing completion
- Current RN Licensure in state of practice and compact for other states
- EMT required in Arkansas
- Three years ER or Critical Care experience
- Certified emergency nurse (CEN)
- Critical care registered nurse (CCRN)
- Certified flight registered nurse (CFRN)
- PALS
- NRP
- ITLS or PHTLS
- Hazmat
- Extrication class
- BLS
- ACLS
- ATLS or equivalent Life Line Trauma Course
- Ability to use a Cardiac Monitor
- Ability to use Non-Invasive BP Monitor
- Ability to use invasive BP Monitor
- Ability to use Mechanical Ventilator
- Ability to use C02 monitor
- Ability to use IABP
- Ability to use Impella
- Ability to Intubate
- Ability to use Infusion Pump
- Ability to use computer
- Must pass an annual fitness test completed as part of fit-4-duty program
- Weight requirement of 230 pounds or less in full uniform (flight suit and boots)
- Ability to tolerate stressors of flight, including motion, vibration, and temperature variations
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk during each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
