Job Summary

Provide high-quality critical care, including assessment, triage, and treatment, while transporting patients in a helicopter's confined space. Administer medicine and deliver advanced life support alongside a flight paramedic, ensuring patient confidentiality and dignity. Maintain current certifications such as CFRN, PALS, NRP, and ACLS, and operate equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps. This role requires lifting 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and tolerance for motion and vibration. Required Qualifications

  • Accredited school of nursing completion
  • Current RN Licensure in state of practice and compact for other states
  • EMT required in Arkansas
  • Three years ER or Critical Care experience
  • certified emergency nurse (CEN)
  • critical care registered nurse (CCRN)
  • certified flight registered nurse (CFRN)
  • PALS
  • NRP
  • ITLS or PHTLS
  • Hazmat
  • extrication class
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • ATLS or equivalent Life Line Trauma Course
  • Must be able to use a Cardiac Monitor
  • Must be able to use Non-Invasive and invasive BP Monitor
  • Must be able to use Mechanical Ventilator
  • Must be able to use C02 monitor
  • Must be able to use IABP
  • Must be able to use Impella
  • Must be able to Intubate
  • Must be able to use Infusion Pump
  • Must be able to use computer
  • Must pass an annual fitness test completed as part of fit-4-duty program
  • 230 pounds or less in full uniform (flight suit and boots)
  • Tolerates the stressors of flight, including but not limited to, motion, vibration, and temperature variations and other environmental conditions
  • Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
