Job Summary
Assess situations to determine the best course of action for supporting, monitoring, and treating patients in critical care. Utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult and pediatric patients while supporting physicians' orders. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment by performing regular equipment checks and complying with safety standards and briefings. Collaborate effectively with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, and facilities to ensure seamless patient transport. Share shift change information and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN
- Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area
- EMT Certification
- Trauma Certification in state(s) where required
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) certification within 24 months from date of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Prior flight experience
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS
