Job Summary

Assess situations to determine the best course of action for supporting, monitoring, and treating patients in critical care. Utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult and pediatric patients while supporting physicians' orders. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment by performing regular equipment checks and complying with safety standards. Collaborate effectively with air and ground teams, dispatch, and facilities to communicate professionally. Share shift change information and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation. Stay current with required certifications and ongoing training for the position. This 24-hour role requires on-base availability to respond to emergent flight requests for candidates living in the San Antonio area.

Required Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN
  • Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area
  • EMT Certification
  • Trauma Certification
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • NRP certification
  • Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN)
  • Live in the San Antonio area

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior flight experience
  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS
