Job Summary
Flight Nurse responsible for delivering high-quality critical care during patient transport by helicopter, performing assessment, triage, and treatment under high-pressure conditions alongside the Flight Paramedic. Requires administering medicines and providing advanced life support in confined, noisy aircraft space. Must demonstrate rapid decision-making, clinical proficiency (monitoring, ventilation, invasive and non-invasive monitoring, and airway management), and the ability to work effectively in stressful, dynamic environments. Requires RN licensure, Arkansas EMT license as applicable, current BLS/ACLS/PALS, and ongoing certification development (ITLS/PHTLS, ATLS, FP-C/CCP-C). Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. Required Qualifications
- Accredited school of nursing completion
- Current RN Licensure in state of practice and compact for other states
- Arkansas EMT license required at Life Line state-licensed bases before orientation
- Three years ER or Critical Care experience
- Current BLS ACLS PALS certifications
- ITLS or PHTLS within six months
- ATLS within two years
- FP-C or CCP-C within two years
- Cardiac Monitor, Non-Invasive and invasive BP Monitor, Mechanical Ventilator, CO2 monitor, IABP, Impella, Intubation, Infusion Pump
- Must pass annual fitness test and meet weight requirements
- Bachelor's of Nursing preferred
- Previous flight paramedic experience preferred
- CEN CCRN certifications preferred
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, prolonged standing and walking
- Knowledge of pre-hospital duties and environment
