Job Summary

Lead and develop operation support teams across multiple sites (flight lines, labs and manufacturing areas) for Boeing's Military Delivery Center in Tukwila, WA. Directs activities of employees in multiple operation support disciplines, oversees technical approaches and processes, and maintains customer and stakeholder relationships. Supports lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices, uses MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint for communications and reporting, and coordinates variable shifts with up to 10% travel. The role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and mentoring, with experience in forklift/motive equipment, hazmat, and working within union environments. Travel, shift flexibility, and compliance-related duties are included as part of the position responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing or Flightline operations
  • 3+ years experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Experience with forklift/Motive Equipment Operator
  • Experience with HAZMAT
  • Experience leading or managing in a union represented environment (IAM and/or SPEEA)
  • Security/COI considerations and travel requirements as described in the posting
