Job Summary
Flight Operations Manager to direct and coordinate flight dispatch and subordinate personnel across regional stations; lead flight operations, weight & balance, and regulatory compliance; provide weather and NOTAM briefings; manage budgets and staffing; oversee preparation of flight and ATC plans and liaise with authorities to ensure safe, compliant operations.
Required Qualifications
- Five years experience in Flight Operations
- FAA Flight Dispatch License
- Knowledge of SITA/ARINC/LIDO/JEPPESEN/SABER communication/flight planning software
- Training in CFR 14 PART 121, 129, 135, CFR 14 PART 120, CFR 49 PART 40
- Strong Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritize functions, work efficiently and manage time
- Ability to work under pressure
- Available to work rotating shifts, holidays and weekends
- Responsible for the safety of the flights
- Over-see preparation/filing of computerized Flight and ATC plans for International; Trans-Pacific/ Atlantic Flights
- Provide weather/operational briefing to flight crews and analyze NOTAMS and ATC data
- Oversee and manage Flight Operations and Weight & Balance departments
- Liaise with Upper Management, Clients, Vendors, Airport and Government Authorities
- Manage and develop personnel to maximize operational performance in areas of on-time performance, staffing, training and safety
- Prepare and submit reports pertaining to flight operations, payroll and Client billing
- Operate within the budget
