Job Summary
Service, repair and overhaul aircraft to ensure airworthiness. Works under minimal supervision. Perform maintenance in specialized areas of aircraft, develop repair schemes utilizing SRM or Engineering data, conduct operational tests, read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings, and other specifications to determine repair feasibility, accurately clock to jobs, and perform other duties as assigned. Flight Control Mechanic duties include removing/installing flight control surfaces and components, repairing/replacing/rebuilding structures, using OEM/Engineering drawings to modify structures and flight controls, performing weight and balance calculations, rigging and testing of flight control surfaces including autopilot, and troubleshooting flight control systems; requires Commercial aviation or equivalent military aviation maintenance experience and preferred A&P license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of related commercial/military aircraft maintenance experience.
