Job Summary
GoJet Airlines seeks enthusiastic individuals for Flight Attendant positions on a 50-passenger aircraft. Responsibilities include overseeing safety and security during the boarding to deplaning process, providing outstanding in-flight customer service, and maintaining a neat cabin environment. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, legal right to work in the U.S., and be at least 21 years old. The position involves physical exertion, superior communication skills, and the ability to handle emergency situations. Extensive training is provided, including a paid program lasting five to six weeks in St. Louis.
Required Qualifications
- Must live within an hour and a half of the domicile you are applying to (90 miles)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must be able to make announcements, give emergency orders, and communicate in the English language
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be in possession of a valid Passport, driver’s license or state ID, and Social Security card
- Must possess the legal right to travel unrestricted to/from all states and countries (Canada)
- Travel documents must remain valid throughout all phases of training and employment
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States
- Able to attend up to 6 weeks of paid training in St. Louis, MO
- Able to be on call and available to report for duty in your assigned base (reserve duty)
- Must adhere to uniform standards and guidelines and have a professional and conservative appearance
Desired Qualifications
- Two years customer service experience preferred
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work long periods of standing and speaking
- Must be able to deal with turbulence, dry air, and varying noise level from aircraft engines
- Extensive travel required, including consecutive nights away from home and enduring all climates
- Alternative work schedules including holidays, evenings, and weekends
