Job Summary
Develop and maintain welding procedures (WPS/PQR), establish process parameters for new products, and troubleshoot welding defects to improve quality and productivity. Support production teams with daily inquiries, investigate quality issues, and reduce scrap through root cause analysis. Optimize robotic welding systems by programming applications and improving cycle times, while training welders and administering qualification tests. Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency, throughput, and safety compliance with AWS, ASME, and API standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or related subject
- 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing welding
- Experience developing WPS/PQR
- Experience with robotic welding systems
- Experience training and qualifying welders
- Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing environments
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Safety certifications
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- AWS Certified Welding Educator (CWE)
- Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS)
