Job Summary
Operate and set up flexographic printing operations on a Wide Web press (Uteco Onyx 808 Central Impression Gearless press); responsibilities include mounting plates, mixing inks, setting up daily production runs, loading/unloading, and performing in-process quality checks. Monitor lamination process with 2-part adhesives, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Requires reading a tape measure, performing simple math calculations, standing for long periods, and executing physical tasks such as pushing/pulling rolls. Emphasis on quality, waste reduction, and adherence to safety procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
- MUST have flexographic printing operator experience.
- Previous experience in flexographic machine operation
- Understanding processes involving paper, film, and plastic materials.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment.
- Comfortable standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Ability to perform simple math calculations.
- Ability to push/pull material rolls and perform physical tasks associated with machine operation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
