Job Summary
Lead and develop the technical services team of chemists and technicians while serving as the primary technical expert supporting customers throughout the region. Visit local customer facilities to troubleshoot ink performance and application issues, partnering with sales to support existing accounts and secure new business. Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives by evaluating liquid ink products, developing technical solutions for flexible packaging, and collaborating with operations, manufacturing, and quality to improve processes. Monitor departmental KPIs, prepare monthly reports for leadership, and coach technical personnel through training and performance management. Promote a culture centered around safety, quality, and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of experience in liquid inks, Flexographic (Flexo) printing, or flexible packaging - REQUIRED
- Strong knowledge of ink systems, raw materials, color performance, and printing applications
- Technical service experience supporting manufacturing customers
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence positive change
- Strong customer-focused mindset with the ability to build long-term partnerships
