Job Summary
Flex Houseparents provide on-campus supervision and mentorship for a group of 8–13 students, living in student homes, with duties including supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a nine-days-on/nine-days-off cycle to a placed-houseparent assignment. The role is a two-person, married-couple position, requiring both spouses to participate in the application process. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
