Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents provide care, supervision, and mentorship to a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a rotating schedule of nine days on/three days off to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same students. Requires two spouses who are legally married for at least two years, aged 27+, with a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits; paid training and time off provided. Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to obtain driving certification for student transportation. Location: Redondo Beach, CA, US.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
