Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside on-campus in a student home in Hershey, PA, and provide care, supervision, and guidance to a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, conducting daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-day-on, three-day-off schedule and may transition to a Placed Houseparent living the same group of students in their own home. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lead students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
