Job Summary
Milton Hershey School is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents who reside on campus and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students in an on-campus home. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, budgeting and reporting, and working a nine-on/three-off schedule with progression to a placed houseparent. The role requires two spouses who are legally married for at least two years, aged 27+, with a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a high school diploma or GED. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to follow school policies (smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty)
- Ability to live and work with the same group of students in their own student home (Placed Houseparent duties)
- High school diploma or GED required
