Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in a student home, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students, supervise household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to drive student home vans, willingness to commit to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, and a two-person married couple with both spouses aged 27+, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs; experience with youth is preferred; relocation assistance is provided. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
