Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on campus at Milton Hershey School, in on-campus student homes, and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and support for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off and can transition into a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. This is a two-person, married-couple position with on-site housing and comprehensive benefits, plus relocation assistance and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
