Job Summary
Two-person, full-time flexible on-campus houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes to provide daily supervision, mentorship, and supervision of routines for approximately 8–13 students, including administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Initially a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include annual salary per person around $44,768 with comprehensive benefits and relocation/training. Requires two married spouses, age 27+, high school diploma/GED, valid driver’s license and ability to drive student vans, ability to lift 50 lbs, and adherence to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; serve as role models for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and reside on-campus
