Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents needed at Milton Hershey School to reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 8–13 students. The role involves supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The position starts with a nine-on/three-off schedule, with an eventual transition to a placed Houseparent role. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year married status with valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying to Sunday Chapel
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
