Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School: a two-person, legally married couple residing on campus in student homes to provide supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role. The role includes on-duty blocks of nine days on followed by three days off, with on-campus housing, comprehensive benefits, and relocation/training support.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married commitment for both spouses
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model responsibilities
- Completion of individual employment applications by both spouses
