Job Summary
Flexible Full-time two-person on-campus Houseparents for Milton Hershey School in Sterling, IL. Couples reside in student homes and provide supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising/mentoring youth, administering medications, driving to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a fixed home for the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
