Job Summary
Two-person full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School, living on-campus in student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, provide medications as needed, drive to activities, plan and participate in developmental/recreational activities, lead devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel, and manage budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits. Requires a legally married couple with both spouses aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid US driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and completion of individual applications. For consideration, both spouses must complete separate employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel (proselytizing prohibited)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
