Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (full-time) reside on campus in student homes and provide supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and adapting to a two-phase role from rotating nine-day-on/three-day-off shifts to a fixed placed home assignment with the same group of students. Requires a two-spouse, legally married partnership, both spouses 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a willingness to live and work on campus with a strong commitment to student development and a faith-based environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations (fish and one dog of approved breeds)
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Preference for experience working or volunteering with youth
