Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, supervising and guiding a group of 8–13 students in a family-like home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreation, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially support various student homes with a nine-on / three-off schedule, then transition to a placed houseparent role with the same group of students. Qualifications include experience with youth, suitability for a two-person married-couple role, age 27+, clean driving record, ability to lift 50 lbs, high school diploma or GED, and adherence to campus rules (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol on duty). Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Pet limitations and campus rules (smoke-free and weapon-free; alcohol prohibited on duty)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model responsibilities for students
