Job Summary
Full-time flex Houseparents for on-campus student homes, a two-person married-couple role in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreation, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and housing reporting, and transitioning from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent. Requires two spouses who are legally married for at least two years, both aged 27 or older, High School diploma or GED, valid driver’s license with ability to drive student vans, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel (proselytizing prohibited)
- Prospective for relocation assistance provided
- Paid training provided
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
