Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) live on-campus in student homes near Hershey, PA, and provide care, supervision, and guidance to a group of ~8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student-home. Includes relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive benefits, and a total compensation package around $168,000 per couple. Requires youth-work experience, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, adherence to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, and dual-employment applications for both spouses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
