Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents on the Milton Hershey School campus live in on-campus student homes and supervise 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person around $44,768 (approximately $168,000 total per couple with housing/utilities/meal benefits), comprehensive medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement savings, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO. Requires high school diploma or GED, two-year legally married status, both spouses aged 27+, valid driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans, ability to lift 50 lbs, commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, no alcohol on duty, and willingness to lead devotions and Chapel services.
