Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role for married couples at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing supervision, mentorship, and care for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, conducting daily devotions, and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel. The schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with a future transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with total couple compensation around $168,000, comprehensive insurance options, retirement savings, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
Additional Requirements
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Proficiency to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
