Job Summary
Flexible, full-time two-person houseparent role on Milton Hershey School’s campus. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervise and mentor ~8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and participate in budgeting and reporting. The position begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, then transitions to a stable home with the same group of students. Requires a legally married couple for at least two years, both spouses 27+, high school diploma or GED, U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs., and willingness to obtain required certifications to drive student vans. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
