Job Summary
Flexible, two-person Full-Time Flex Houseparents live in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a single student home. Benefits include salary per person with comprehensive healthcare, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Married for at least two years (two-person role)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Proficiency in leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Comfort driving student home vans or ability to become certified to drive
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
