Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside in on-campus student homes in Schuyler, NE, and provide care, mentorship, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. After hire, they begin in a flexible schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent in the same student home.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person couple must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Ability to participate in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Comfort with Judeo-Christian services (proselytizing prohibited)
- No more than three dependent children in home
