Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine rehabilitation needs, then implement tailored therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and assistive techniques to enhance mobility and relieve pain. Direct and oversee physical therapy services provided by assistants while maintaining accurate clinical documentation, including care plans and discharge summaries. Regularly evaluate patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary and consulting with medical professionals to optimize outcomes. Engage in education for clients and families regarding home exercise programs and equipment use. Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings and ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements. Work Monday through Friday in a modern Dulles facility serving diverse populations recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- A minimum of one year of experience in a physical therapy role, ideally in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting
- Current and valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse patients and their families
- A strong commitment to patient care and a desire to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
- Passion for ongoing professional development and staying abreast of industry standards and regulations
- Ability to work a Monday to Friday schedule, ensuring availability for patient care during standard business hours
