Job Summary
Welcome parents and children daily as the nursery's primary contact, managing parent communications via email and telephone while ensuring all emails are responded to within allocated SLAs. Own the 'Go Beyond' experience by keeping the Parent Breakfast Bar well-stocked and presenting a warm, inviting atmosphere. Line manage the Nursery Operations team for kitchen and cleaning standards, liaise with Facilities for building maintenance, and oversee operational systems including budgeting, procurement, and team rotas. Monitor commercial performance to maintain 95% occupancy targets, manage the waiting list, and assist with compliance actions and marketing initiatives. Work flexible shifts from 6:30am to 7:30pm, covering team absences and providing care in Family Rooms.
Required Qualifications
- Higher education qualification or relevant professional experience
- Experience either in a customer facing role or an operational role
- Proven track record of prioritising and multi-tasking under pressure
- Experienced, and competent, user of ICT systems (including Mac computers)
- Must be competent in Google suite, specifically navigating Google Sheets
- Experience of budget management and procurement
- A solution-focused decision maker
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Able to communicate and influence clearly using a variety of techniques (oral and in writing)
- A rigorous, structured and organised approach
- Able to reflect on oneself, respond positively and improve
- Happy to work an early/ late shift pattern and the occasional weekend/ evening
