Flex Time Transportation - Driver 3-5 Days Per Week

Job Summary
Conduct daily vehicle inspections, confirm wheelchair lift functionality, and maintain cleanliness while escorting members door-to-door in all weather conditions. Assist with on- and off-boarding, ensuring members are securely fastened, and transport them to medical appointments, field trips, and errands. Maintain accurate records for routes, mileage, fuel, and service; report mechanical concerns or unusual occurrences immediately. Communicate professionally with members, families, and referral agencies while complying with safety and regulatory standards. Push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds to assist with transfers. Work a flexible schedule with 3-5 days per week, passing required physical exams and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Valid driver's license and state/vehicle-specific driver credentials
- Able to work a flexible schedule
- Able to push, pull, bend, turn, pivot, transfer and lift up to 50 pounds; able to routinely and repeatedly exit and enter the vehicle to assist members with on- and off-boarding
- Able to pass required physical exams including Department of Transportation (DOT) exam
- Successful results of background check, motor vehicle report, drug testing and any other state-specific requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working as a driver preferred but not required
- Prior experience working with seniors and/or adults with special needs preferred
- Knowledge of local geographic area preferred
