Job Summary
Conduct clinical services for residents in skilled nursing, assisted living, and rehabilitation settings, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plan development for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Teach residents techniques to improve sound production and voice, while counseling families on coping strategies for swallowing and communication challenges. Build genuine relationships with residents and their caregivers, compile progress notes, and adjust therapies based on individual goals. Requires a current Speech Language Pathologist license, CPR certification, and physical stamina for lifting up to 50 lbs. This flexible, as-needed role allows coverage across multiple sites without a multiple-shift requirement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited therapy program
- 2–3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current Speech Language Pathologist state license
- CPR certification
