Job Summary
Cover vacant security shifts between 05:00 and 22:00 seven days a week, including potential overnight rotations and short-notice assignments across the Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, and Iowa City areas. Maintain availability for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts while holding a valid driver's license and passing federal background checks, motor vehicle reports, and drug screens. This as-needed role serves as an entry point to full-time permanent positions within Per Mar Security's Midwest operations, with interviews and onboarding at the Cedar Rapids branch.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a Federal State of Iowa background check, motor vehicle report and 4 panel drug screen
- Must be available 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts
- Must come to the Cedar Rapids branch for interviews and potentially onboard
- Shifts may come up on short notice
- High School Diploma/GED
- Drivers License
- Travel is required occasionally
