Flex Retail Security Officer

Flex Retail Security Officer provides supplemental security coverage in a retail environment, filling shifts due to call-offs, vacations, staffing shortages, and peak business needs. The role is on-call and not regularly scheduled, with hours offered on short notice; officers report to work as needed and are expected to maintain a professional image and strong customer service. Main duties include controlling entrances and pedestrian/vehicle movement, patrolling buildings/perimeters, escorting material/personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Candidates must be adaptable, reliable, and able to communicate effectively with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments; duties may vary by post orders and organizational needs. Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, and access control, plus a proactive approach to safety and loss prevention, is required. ADA accommodations may be provided where applicable.
