Job Summary
Security Officer assigned to flexible evening shifts at South Hills Village to provide security detail per post orders, patrol buildings and perimeters, control entrances, escort material and personnel, monitor cameras, report incidents, and coordinate with customers and law enforcement while maintaining professional image and delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities include timely post reporting, adherence to post orders, knowledge of life safety systems and CCTV, and completing incident and activity reports; must communicate security issues to the Security Supervisor and stay aware of all policy revisions.
Required Qualifications
- Duties may vary depending on department size, organizational structure, geographic location and post assignments
- Be on time and report to post in full uniform
- Maintain professional image that includes greeting customers, visitors and employees in a polite and friendly manner
- Be proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and general information distributed by the customer and AFS
- Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position
- Monitor cameras or equipment
- Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV system
- Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by AFS and other agencies regulating the customer / market
- Communicate with Security Supervisor about security issues or changes
