Flex Retail Security Officer

On-Call Flex Retail Security Officer responsible for supplemental security coverage in a retail setting. Duties include controlling entrances and movement of people and vehicles, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments as directed. Maintain professional image, greet customers and employees, stay up-to-date on post orders, report suspicious activity, respond to alarms and emergencies, and complete Daily Activity Reports and incident reports. Must coordinate with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments, and stay aware of surroundings to ensure safe operations. Requires adaptability, reliability, and the ability to report to work if needed on a flexible schedule; shifts offered on short notice and not guaranteed. Strong customer service, vigilance, teamwork, and clear written and verbal communication skills are essential. Knowledge of life safety systems, CCTV, and elevator/access door operation is beneficial; ability to work within ADA requirements and follow customer guidelines as outlined by Andy Frain Services (AFS).
