Flex Retail Security Officer

On-call Flex Security Officer for a retail environment providing supplemental coverage during call-offs, vacations, staffing shortages, and peak periods. Responsible for controlling entrances and pedestrian/vehicle movement, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and performing special assignments. Maintain professional image and excellent customer service; establish relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. Maintain awareness of surroundings, report suspicious activity, complete Daily Activity Reports/Incident Reports, and communicate issues to Security Supervisor. Stay current with post orders and emergency procedures; ensure knowledge of life safety systems and access controls; support loss prevention and safety initiatives. Flex shifts may be offered on short notice; shifts are not regularly scheduled and hours are not guaranteed.
