Flex Retail Security Officer

Job Summary
Provide security detail at South Hills Village with flex evening scheduling. Duties include controlling entrances and managing pedestrian/vehicle traffic, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Maintain professional image and deliver excellent customer service while staying aware of surroundings, documenting activity via Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports, monitoring cameras and emergency procedures, and coordinating with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. Knowledge of life-safety systems, CCTV, post orders, and ability to report revisions is required; role emphasizes teamwork, urgency, and adherence to security protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Be on time and report to post in full uniform
- Maintain professional image and strong customer service
- Knowledge of post orders and ability to adapt to revisions
- Patrol duties including entrances, perimeters, and vehicle/pedestrian traffic
- Ability to monitor cameras and respond to alarms/incidents
- Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and logs
- Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, and CCTV equipment
- Communicate issues daily with Security Supervisor
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
