Flex Retail Security Officer

On-Call Flex Security Officer in a retail setting provides supplemental security coverage when primary staff are unavailable. Roles are not regularly scheduled and hours aren’t guaranteed; officers must provide available days/times and report to work if called. Responsibilities include controlling entrances and traffic, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting material and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Must maintain a professional image and deliver excellent customer service, establishing working relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. Skills include vigilance, strong customer service, teamwork, effective communication, and knowledge of life safety systems, CCTV, fire panels, and emergency procedures. Documentation responsibilities include Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports, and communicating security issues to the Security Supervisor; role may involve ADA accommodations and adjustments based on post orders and location.
