Flex Retail Security Officer

On-Call Flex Security Officer provides supplemental security coverage in a retail environment by filling shifts due to call-offs, vacations, staffing shortages, and peak business needs. Flex Officers serve as a critical support function to maintain safe and secure operations when primary staff are unavailable. Roles are not regularly scheduled and do not guarantee hours; shifts may be offered on short notice. Responsibilities include controlling entrances and movement, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and completing relevant reports while maintaining professional customer service and coordination with customers, law enforcement, and fire departments. Knowledge of post orders and emergency procedures, CCTV/equipment operation, and loss-prevention processes is required; duties may vary by post and location, with confidentiality and ADA accommodations considerations as described in post orders.
