Job Summary
On-Call Flex Security Officer provides supplemental security coverage in a retail environment by filling shifts due to call-offs, vacations, staffing shortages, and peak business needs. This on-call role is not regularly scheduled and does not guarantee hours; officers must provide designated days/times available and report to work if needed. Responsibilities include controlling entrances and pedestrian/vehicle traffic, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting material and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Maintain professional image, greet customers and employees, stay informed of post orders, report suspicious activity, monitor cameras and emergency procedures, complete routine reports, and contribute to loss prevention. Required skills include honesty, vigilance, strong customer service, teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to adapt to short-notice shifts. Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, and related equipment is beneficial, as is compliance with training guidelines and reporting to the Security Supervisor.”,
Required Qualifications
- Be on time and report to post in full uniform

- Patrol physical property or fixed post
- Monitor cameras or equipment as per post orders
- Know life safety systems and fire panels; operate elevators and access doors
- Complete Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports, and relevant reports
- Communicate issues daily with Security Supervisor
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Honest, alert, and well-disciplined demeanor
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions
- Adaptability to short-notice shifts and changing requirements
- Compliance with post orders and safety procedures
