Job Summary
Assess and record patient status upon admission, organize health data, and identify immediate care needs. Validate diagnoses with patients and the healthcare team, initiate problem lists, and begin discharge planning at the time of entry. Prioritize evidence-based nursing interventions, provide individualized education, and document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses. Continuously review health data to update the plan of care, reassess actions for effectiveness, and communicate progress to the team. Requires a BSN (or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years), Illinois RN license, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Strong analytic abilities
- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role
- ACLS
- PALS/ENPC & TNCC
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- TNCC
