Job Summary
Temporary Rooms Operations Manager assignment to support Marriott-brand hotels across the US & Canada. Leads multi-discipline operations in the rooms area (Front Office, AYS, Bell Stand, Valet, Concierge, Club Lounge, Housekeeping) and coordinates labor scheduling, staff development, and guest-service performance. Focuses on maintaining brand standards and operating requirements, driving guest satisfaction, and managing department P&L objectives. Responsible for leading shift teams, conducting daily stand-ups, and ensuring compliance with brand initiatives and safety/security protocols. Requires work authorization for the US and Canada; 100% travel; performance evaluated after each assignment. Proficient in front/back office systems (Lightspeed, PMS, GXP/Empower, MARSHA, HotSoS), and familiar with Opera/FOSSE; union or CBA experience preferred. Marriott Bonvoy knowledge and a customer-service mindset are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years of experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area and 2 years hotel leadership experience
- Must be proficient in front and back office systems including Lightspeed, PMS, GXP/Empower, MARSHA and HotSoS (Opera and FOSSE highly regarded)
- Union or CBA experience preferred
